Every chance I have I attempt a family portrait. As my children have moved on into adult hood and Scott and I have moved to Michigan to pastor a church, we aren't all together very often. Family photos has become a Christmas tradition. My husband has a tradition of his own. I use my camera on self timer and get everyone arranged, trip the shutter and run get in the picture. For at least one picture Scott always sits really still and poses until the last second and then he kisses me on the cheek instead of looking at the camera. I have come to expect this :) But this year he surprised me and got both his boys to participate in his little charade! Then we coached Samantha to cover her eyes and reshoot it, I love it!
My youngest son Justin, and his girlfriend Liz and her dog Dallas.
My oldest son Naaman, his wife Katie and daughter Samantha.
We had such a beautiful fall in Michigan!
We visited Niagara Falls in October.
I found this bug hiding in a bloom in my garden.
We are blessed to live near the Fred Meijer Heartland Bicycle Trail. Scott and I spent many happy hours this summer and fall riding on the trail.
A macro shot of a pretty geranium bud.
A macro shot of a pretty bean blossom being visited by a small bumble bee in my garden.
My favorite place to go for a walk in the foothills of TN.
We visited a nearby town to watch the tallships sail into the channel. They were spectacular to view but difficult to shoot.
I enjoyed shooting the dragonflies.
My beautiful grandaughter Samantha!
A young lady who posed for me during a photo class I took this summer.
