Hey Hey Snowflake, Pretty Little Snowflake

We had snow flurries yesterday and I had fun shooting them!

The snowflake is laying on my scarf, the macro lens really magnifies the fibers of the scarf too.

The ones that were shaped like this were harder to shoot.

I am guessing this one must have been sort of round before it landed and pieces broke off.

You can see reflections underneath this one.

Ok I am ready for more snow!

A Cold Walk In The Park

I frequent this park in warmer weather, shooting dragonflies, wildflowers, birds, and whatever else pops up.  I decided to see what I could find in the cold, snow and ice.

In a few months the red wing blackbirds will return and build their nests in these cattails.

The ice and snow, and dark evergreens are beautiful against the blue sky.
Some little critter left his or her footprints in the snow.
I like the combination of vines and cattails.
This little tree or bush is growing in the edge of the icy river.

Pretty Scenes From Jan 4th

I love the look of the old weathered wood.

The sun peaking through the heavy clouds.
When the leaves are all gone, then we can see the beautiful form of the tree.
Pretty rays of sun peeking through the clouds.
This little red building really intrigued me.  It bears the name and title  of a certified nurse practioner.....  I wonder if it has been an office?
This motorcyle made completely of wood sits along the road by the edge of a driveway.
We came down a rural road and I found this scene so appealing.  I loved the pop of the white tree surrounded by the evergreens and a few trees with dry brown leaves.

A Fresh Dusting Of Snow

I was hoping for a big snow, sticking to the trees, followed by pretty blue skies, but I happily settled for a little snow and the pretty blue skies :)

This old stone mansion was beautiful illuminated by the early morning sun.

I love the snow sticking to the branches.

These pretty horses were gladly munching on their morning food.

Something about old farm buildings grabs my attention.

I found this driveway lined by snow capped evergreens intriguing.

I was so happy to find the horse standing near this old barn!
Loved this old red truck!

Strawberry Shortcake

I have been in such a baking mood lately. These strawberry shortcakes were awesome.

Some Pretty Blue Decorations

Welcome to my blog. I plan on sharing things I see and capture thru my camera.

About Me

My photo
I am 49 years old, I have 2 adult sons, a grandaughter & a grandson. I am happily married to the love of my life. I have been intrigued with photography for as long as I can remember. I am constantly striving to learn something new and improve my photography. I love doing portraits, macros, and scenic shots. I literally take my camera everywhere I go. I find that the more I learn about photographing my world, the more I learn to "see" the beauty around me.
