Still Some Color In TN

Thanksgiving week we visited our family in TN to find there was still some color!  It was so warm too.... probably upper 70's.  We had a great time.

I walked to the top of a hill and looked back over our farm.  The open field you see beyond the road and the barn is part of our farm.  Our house isn't visible in this one.

An old log barn not too far from our farm.

I loved the way the evening light was playing across the barn.  Lighting some parts and leaving others in the shadows.

Still some color left in some of the trees.

A moss covered rock in a carpet of leaves.

A pretty green fern in the spot light of the sun.

A Visit With Samantha

Pappy is doing such a good job getting her to laugh!

Out For A Drive

The color is all gone, the leaves are all gone, but still I see beauty!

We never really notice the form of the tree when it is all covered in leaves.... we focus on the leaves as long as they are there, green leaves, then pretty red, yellow, and orange fall leaves..... but once they are gone and we really look.... we see the beauty of the tree!

I just loved this old weathered barn!

The  setting sun was shining on this tree like a spotlight.

Pancakes For Breakfast

I thought I would starve before I got these all cooked, posed, and photographed, so I could finally eat them :)

BBQ Chicken for Supper

Cookies

Fall has put me in a baking mood!  One of the fringe benefits is the fact that I can shoot my baked goods :)

Choclate Chip!

Birthday Cupcakes

DH brought me cupcakes for my birthday!  With just the two of us, we would never eat up a whole cake.

Tea and Fresh Apple Cake

My pretty boquet is fading but I managed to get it one last shoot!

Welcome

Welcome to my blog. I plan on sharing things I see and capture thru my camera.

About Me

My photo
I am 49 years old, I have 2 adult sons, a grandaughter & a grandson. I am happily married to the love of my life. I have been intrigued with photography for as long as I can remember. I am constantly striving to learn something new and improve my photography. I love doing portraits, macros, and scenic shots. I literally take my camera everywhere I go. I find that the more I learn about photographing my world, the more I learn to "see" the beauty around me.
