Mackinaw Island

I found so many things to shoot on Mackinaw Island

We rode on a boat like this from Mackinaw City to Mackinaw Island.

The view as we arrived.

One of the transport boats unloading.

Street Views

I loved seeing all the horses.  One of the drivers said most of their horses are retired Amish farm horses.

Looking back at the Mackinaw Bridge from Mackinaw Island.

Looking at the Mackinaw Bridge across the garden of one of the homes on Mackinaw Island.

Making Fudge.  I believe there are 14 fudge stores on the tiny island.

This ship, "Columbus", docked here for the day.  Someone said it was a German cruise ship enroute to Chicago.

The "taxis" all line up ready to take customers to their destinations.

The Grand Hotel.

Looking back as we left.

These are beautiful Jo Ann. We have been over the bridge, but never out to the island. Now I want to go after seeing these wonderful pictures. I bet the best fudge shop was Jo Ann's.

Welcome

Welcome to my blog. I plan on sharing things I see and capture thru my camera.

About Me

My photo
I am 49 years old, I have 2 adult sons, a grandaughter & a grandson. I am happily married to the love of my life. I have been intrigued with photography for as long as I can remember. I am constantly striving to learn something new and improve my photography. I love doing portraits, macros, and scenic shots. I literally take my camera everywhere I go. I find that the more I learn about photographing my world, the more I learn to "see" the beauty around me.
